Tara Bird
Cabin Manager / Barcelona
How long have you worked at easyJet?
5 years (3 at Gatwick and 2 in Barcelona)
What do you love about being Cabin Crew?
Number one reason I love my job is for the people I work with, from the flight deck, crew and ground staff, it’s always a fun day. The opportunities I’ve had, from working in recruitment, becoming cabin manager and even moving to a new base. Plus the variety of routes we fly to and meeting different passenger’s every day, no day is ever the same and I love that about my job.
What was the best thing about your initial training course?
The best thing about my training course was the excitement of learning some new skills, from putting out fires, doing the wet drill, learning to evacuate an aircraft and to get to go down the emergency slide at the end.
What’s the best memory you have of easyJet so far?
My most memorable moment at easyJet was being a part of the base opening day in Barcelona. I was lucky enough to take part in a big PR event, being on an aircraft driving through the water jets and having photos taken by the local press. The best part was the big dinner party we threw afterwards where I got to meet future colleagues.
