Graduate Profiles

Be part of the new generation of easyJet graduates.

Only highly talented, forward thinking people get to join our European Graduate Programme. People who possess the right mix of business awareness, analytical insight and commercial acumen. People who are passionate, care about what they do and have a real sense of fun. Potentially, people like you!

As an easyJet Graduate, you’ll spend two or so years fully involved in the business taking up a position within either – Operations, Finance, Project Management, IT, Commercial, Marketing or HR.

Being a graduate here is all about taking control and managing your own growth. Our learning and development programme is fast-paced and focused on success. From a robust induction programme, to a dedicated mentor who will support you with business and career advice, you’ll learn from industry leading experts and gain exposure to a wide range of business critical projects.

During the first 2 years, you’ll work on a series of assignments where your learning objectives will be agreed up front. At the end of each one, we’ll discuss your progress and performance and put plans in place to support your development and growth.

Our strong European focus means you’ll work with people from many different nationalities too. And, although based in our main London office, you’ll have the chance to visit and potentially be based in places like France, Italy, Germany, Portugal or Switzerland.

So, if you’re a recent graduate, or about to graduate, are willing to relocate and have a genuine interest in the airline industry – join generation easyJet and see how far you could go…

“It is a privilege to know that the managers trust my judgment and seek me out for my advice.”

“Having studied Biomedical Science at Manchester University, I realised that lab coat life was not for me. Instead, I began to research graduate programmes, as I believed these would offer greater opportunity, responsibility and fast track development. easyJet’s graduate programme certainly lives up to this!

Since joining the HR stream in 2011, I’ve helped manage all aspects of an employee’s life cycle – from new entrant contracts, through to promotions, transfers and everything in between. Currently, as an HR Advisor for Cabin Services, I coach managers in areas such as disciplinary, grievance and flexible working requests.

My development has been phenomenal. I’ve gone from a minimal understanding of what HR entails to advising managers about who I think they should recruit! It’s a privilege to know that the managers trust my judgment and seek out my advice.”

“I go home knowing I have contributed to the success of the company!”

“I joined easyJet as part of the European Graduate Programme. After university I didn’t know what I wanted to be as a “grown up”, but I knew I wanted to work for a fast paced and successful company with tremendous development opportunities and the chance to shape my own career. I was fascinated by easyJet’s passion for connecting people across Europe and felt that becoming part of an international graduate program was the best way to make the transition from academia to work

Rotating placements every six to nine months, I’ve explored different areas of the business. In the Business Team I helped to develop the product proposition for business travelers, I supported the Sales team on European projects and renewed our catering supplier contract whilst in the In-flight Retail team. I’m currently with the Digital Marketing Team, working on SEO for our website – which is actually pretty cool!

I love working here because every morning, when I come to the office, I know my day is going to be different from the previous one and at the end of it I go home, knowing I have contributed to the success of the company!”

“There’s an element of throwing you in at the deep end, but the support offered from line management is second to none.”

“I did an international-focused degree, so my interest in travel, other cultures and countries drove me to look for a diverse, multicultural company, with plenty of opportunities to travel and interact with people from varied backgrounds.

Since joining easyJet, I’ve worked as an Employee Relations Analyst, providing data analysis to help with union negotiations, for the Chief Operations Officer, covering both strategic business and operational projects and I’m currently working in Operations Control, managing a couple of projects, performing operational analysis and driving improvement and efficiency in the way we work.

Here, it’s all about developing a “go-getting” personality, so new graduates have to be driven and resolute as the fast moving pace of the business takes no prisoners! I look at myself two years ago, and think of how far I’ve come in terms of self-confidence, commercial awareness, presentation and leadership skills.

There’s an element of throwing you in at the deep end, but the support offered from line management is second to none. And, unlike a lot of companies, easyJet leaves politics and posturing at the door – it is a place that you can largely get things done quickly and well.”

“I’ve enjoyed being given the opportunity to get stuck in and to carve out my career.”

“The first thing that caught my attention when applying for easyJet was the brand. I knew that working for such a recognised brand would be great for my career development and this has proven true already! As, I was hoping to be a Business Analyst in 5 years’ time, but guess what? I was given that very role from day one!

In my first placement I helped to analyse, configure and release the recruitment website – yes, the one you’re using right now! In my second I worked on HALO, a mobile boarding solution which won ‘Best Airport Innovation’ at the Future Travel Experience Awards 2012. In my third I was the business analyst on easyJet’s Mobile App, which has won a whole raft of awards. I’m currently in my fourth, working on simplifying our Flight Operation by introducing mobile tablets for our Pilots, virtual crew rooms for our Cabin Crew and inflight Wi-Fi.

I’ve enjoyed being given the opportunity to get stuck in and to carve out my career. I love feeling in control and have been given many opportunities to develop.”
