Captains

Take your place in the left-hand seat and lead from the front. As an easyJet Captain, you’ll make the critical decisions that keep us flying safely and seamlessly. You’ll set the highest standards, support your crew, and ensure every passenger arrives with safely and with confidence.

Easyjet pilot

Minimum requirements

Type Rated Captains: at least 4,000 flying hours, with 1,000 PIC hours on A320

Non-Type Rated Captains: at least 4,000 flying hours with 1,000 PIC hours on jet aircraft over 30T MTOW

Our application and recruitment process aims to be as straightforward as we are. We want you to get to know us, and we want to get to know you.

Online Application

Choose a job vacancy you like the sound of and check you meet the minimum requirements. If so, you can hit ‘Apply’, enter your details, upload a few documents and answer a series of questions.

Online Test

We’ll send you a link to some online aptitude tests. These will give us an idea of your verbal, numerical and spatial reasoning skills, and will also contain a personality questionnaire to comply with EASA regulations.

Application Review

At this point, we’ll take a look at your details and check you meet the basic requirements and have answered all the online questions fully. All being well, we’ll invite you to our next available Assessment Centre.

P1 interview

Non-Technical Assessments

Assessment will take place either virtually, or at one of our SIM Centres. You'll meet the easyJet team, take part in a group exercise, learn about life at easyJet and there'll also be a competency-based interview.

Direct Entry Captains and Co-Pilots will complete a simulator assessment so we can see your technical standard of flying. Don’t worry, we’ll give you a full briefing to prepare.

  • CRM training and various safety and emergency training sessions.

  • Training Instructor and Management support for your continued development.

*Licence revalidation and endorsement included.
